The Other- Half 41/41

Ruki was in his room with Aoi. They finished watching the video and discussed it. Ruki still felt the same way and still thought it was completely pointless to watch the video.

[Read ]Aoi sat on the bed next to him and watched over him. Ruki sighed and looked at Aoi, his eyebrows tightening in frustration.

"Is there something specific you want me to look up for you?" Ruki asked.

"Nope." Aoi said looking at Ruki now.

"Then why are you just staring at the screen? You must obviously want me to look something up."

"I'm just making sure you aren't trying to sneak in some work. Knowing you and how much time you've missed. You're probably working from your laptop. That's probably why you wanted it."

"That's not why I wanted it. I just wanted to be able to look things up. Watch movies. Or just simply listen to music that I don't have on my iPod."

"I'll still be here looking over you." Aoi said smirking.

"You suck."

"No you suck."

"No you suck."

"You're just saying that because you're probably working on something but you don't want me to find out so you're trying to distract me."

"I'm not working."

"Then what's in that incognito window?" Aoi asked suspiciously.

"Do you really want to know?" Ruki asked smirking.

"If I didn't want to know then I wouldn't have asked."

"Fine, fine. I'll tell you. There's no need to get snappy... Wait. No. I'm not gonna show you."

"Why not?"

"Because I don't like your answer. Either be nice or you will never get your way." Ruki said protecting his laptop just in case Aoi tried to find out what was in the other window.

"I'm sorry."

"Yeah. Me too."

"Ruuuuki." Aoi pleaded.

"Yes?" Ruki raised a brow.

"I'm sooooooo sorry. Please forgive me, my royal lover." Aoi gave Ruki his best puppy dog eyes.

"Oh, so I'm royalty now?"

"Of course you are my dear."

"Mhm. I'm still not buying it. Besides it's getting close 5:30. You'll have to leave soon."

"Yeah. You better not see Himawari while I'm not with you."

"I make no promises."

"Alright, just promise me that you won't do any work?"

"I won't, but what's so bad about me working?"

"I don't want you being stressed. You've been through a lot and I know you don't like to give yourself breaks and I'd hate to see you go overboard."

"I wouldn't go overboard. If anything I'd keep it steady."

"Well. Don't do any work until Kai swings by."

"Let me guess, you want him to make sure I'm not going to overwork myself?"

Aoi smiled as he got off the bed.

"You know me so well. Tell Himawari I said hi."

"I will."

Aoi walked over to the side Ruki was on and kissed him, then grabbed his bag.

"I'll be back soon. Bye." Aoi said walking by the door.

"Um, I can't help but to feel bad for you not hanging out with your friends. So you can hang with them if you want to. Don't feel the need to visit me."

"I would hang out with them. But they're all drug addicts and I don't want to slip into that again so I'll come back here where I'm happy."

"Or you could make new friends. I'm sure you would make a ton of friends if you try."

"Alright. I'll make new friends."

"You won't regret it."

"I'm hoping I won't. Bye."

Aoi walked out the door and Ruki put on his socks. This time it only took him two minutes. He grabbed his laptop and walked down to Himawari's room and saw her playing with a Nintendo DS. He pulled a chair closer to the bed and sat in it. He waved to her, but she didn't notice. She was focused in the game she was playing.

"You ok Himawari?" Ruki asked still waving.

"Yep. I'm perfectly fine I'll be better once...I.....get..this-UGH! That came out of nowhere!"

Ruki laughed.

"I'm sure it did. Now put that away so we can talk. "

"But.. I'm so close to completing this part."

"But I know about you, yet you barely know anything about me."

"Then tell me something about you."

"Well, I tend to work when I don't have too. I'm not that social. I have a few friends. And I have two boyfriends."

"Oooooh, do they know about each other?"

"Of course. And they're both great."

"I bet. You're one of the lucky ones, having two boyfriends. I know a lot of people who can't find one."

Ruki laughed.

"Well, yeah. I guess I am one of the lucky ones."

"Indeed." She sat up and looked down at her stomach that growled.

"I'm gonna guess you're hungry." Ruki said smiling.

"Well now that you being it up. I am on the hungry side."  She said jokingly.

He helped her out of bed and put her house shoes on her. They walked to the cafeteria together talking about their day. Once they sat down with their food Himawari started devouring her pasta. He looked at her in amusement and smiled as he began to eat his chowder. He looked up to see her sitting up with a puzzled expression.

"What's wrong?" Ruki asked.

"I thing I ate too fast." She mumbled.

"Maybe you should ask for some medicine. I'll go get some for you."

"No, I'm alright. I just need to lay down."

" Alright. Lets go back "

"Ok. "

They took their food and walked back up to her room where they saw Kai waiting next to the chair Ruki was in. Ruki helped Himawari back to the bed and sat down in his seat with his food. He kissed Kai's cheek and watched as Kai looked away as his face reddened.

"Hi Kai!" Himawari said in a high pitched scream.

"Hey, what's in the bowl?"

" Pasta. It's pretty good."

"I bet. You hungry Ruki?"

Ruki waved his bowl.

"Nope. I have chowder." Ruki said before finishing his chowder.

"Oh. Well I guess you don't want this." Kai said taking a sub out of a bag.

"Oh! If he doesn't want it then I'll take it!" She screamed.

Ruki laughed.

"You can have it. I'm pretty full."

She seemed to forget about the pasta when she grabbed the sub and started eating it.

"I guess it's good." Kai said before laughing.

She hummed and nodded her head.

Ruki turned to Kai and smiled.

"Hey Kai can I speak to you in the hall?" Ruki asked.

"Of course." Kai said before getting up. " Hima, we'll be right back."

She hummed.

They walked into the hall and Ruki raised an eyebrow.

"Hima?" Ruki asked.

"Oh yeah. It's my nickname for her."

"Nickna- you barely know her."

"But we get along so well. She's like a little me."

"Well I haven't seen it but I'm sure I will soon."

"Yeah. So what did you call me out here for?"
Ruki sighed.

"What's up with Uruha? Is he out of our way? Is he in some type of prison or what?" Ruki asked sounding nervous.

"He has been....erased? Terminated? Deleted? Well you get the idea."

"So. He's not a problem anymore is he?"

Kai smiled.

Ruki smiled and kissed Kai. Kai smiled and Ruki broke the kiss and looked down the hall to see Tora and Shou holding hands walking their way.

"Wait...what?" Ruki stopped them. "You two are dating."

"Yeah. The nurses told me that he has visited me everyday while I was in the coma." Tora said smiling.

" But when did you?? Weren't you just in??"

"I woke up a few hours ago. I wasn't supposed to move, they didn't want me to risk anything. But I couldn't not want to walk around with him. I want to  know him better." Tora said.

"You will soon." Shou said.

Kai walked up to them and wrapped his arms around Ruki.

"Well it was nice seeing you. " Kai said.

"It was nice seeing you too. Bye." Shou said before walking off with Tora.

"I like the jealous side of you." Ruki said before turning to face Kai. " But you have to deal with them again at Reita's wedding."

"It's not both of them it's just Tora. I think he's still obsessed with you. And Reita's getting married?"

"Yeah, to his girlfriend."

"Oh, well I hope they're right for each other."

"Me too. I also hope a three way marriage will work too. Especially with an adopted daughter."

"Hmm, we'll find out."

" Yep."

"Oh yeah. I'll need you to quit your job."

"Someone needs to stay home to watch her. Someone responsible."

"Or she can come to work with me."

"Sure. But if she doesn't like it you're quitting."

They walked back to her room. Ruki felt satisfied with everything. He felt like his life was finally coming together like he wanted.
